About me…

Hello everyone: this blog is a personal blog about virtualization, mostly, and is maintained by me, Mike Ross. My goal with this blog is to provide readers with some updates, tips with the VMware product suite.

Here’s a short introduction I typically use on sites like LinkedIn:

Mike currently is a VMware TAM, providing support and advocating for Enterprise customers. Previously he spent 25+ years working in the IT industry as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, Account Manager and now holds Technical Account Manager role.

Originally from the Big Sky state of Montana, he holds a degree in Business Information systems from The University of Montana. He has earned multiple professional IT certifications over the years, including the below VMware certifications:

  • VCAP-DCVD 2024
  • VCAP-DCVD 2023
  • DCV-VCP 2024
  • DCV-VCP 2023
  • DCV-VCP 2022
  • VMware vExpert 2023
  • VCP5-DCV

Outside of work you’ll find him hanging out with family, or out in the garage turning wrenches on his vintage air-cooled VW Bus or Beetle, enjoying the San Antonio, TX weather.
