About me…

Hello everyone: this blog is a personal blog about virtualization, mostly, and is maintained by me, Mike Ross. As a VMware Technical Account Manager, my goal is to provide readers with some updates, tips with the VMware product suite.

Here’s a short introduction I typically use on sites like LinkedIn:

Mike currently is a VMware TAM, providing support and advocating for Enterprise customers. Previously he spent 23+ years working in the IT industry as a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, Account Manager and now holds Technical Account Manager role.

Originally from the Big Sky state of Montana, he holds a degree in Business Information systems from The University of Montana. He has earned multiple professional IT certifications over the years, including the below VMware certifications:

  • DCV – VCP 2022
  • VCP5-DCV
  • VCA-DCV
  • VSP-SV
  • VSP-BC
  • ITIL v3

Outside of work you’ll find him hanging out with family, or out in the garage turning wrenches on his vintage air-cooled VW Bus or Beetle, enjoying the San Antonio, TX weather.
